MY EXPERIENCE 

Of the 6 formula varieties, I received shampoo and conditioner samples of 3.... 
  • Honey Treasures -
    Smells good,
    Shampoo lathered nicely, rinsed out easily, and left my hair & scalp feeling clean but not stripped or dried,
    Conditioner distributed easily, I was able to get my long hair combed & knots out faster than I have in a long time, rinsed out easily & completely, didn't leave any residue on my scalp or weigh my hair down.
    My hair felt so soft, looked shiny & healthy, my curls were defined, light, & bouncy, and my hair was easier to manage.  One of the things I was most impressed with and excited about was that my usually dry scalp wasn't dry, flaky, or itchy - which I hadn't experienced during Winter since before Aveda discontinued my favorite conditioner. 
  • Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter -
    Smells nice - coconut creamy.
    Shampoo lathered nicely, rinsed out of my hair easily, and left my hair & scalp feeling clean but not stripped.
    Conditioner distributed through my hair easily, rinsed out easily & completely, didn't leave any residue on my scalp or weigh my hair down.
    It left my hair feeling soft, looking shiny, my scalp fairly hydrated, and my hair healthy and manageable 
  • Coconut Water & Vanilla Milk -
    Smells nice - a light coconut, vanilla scent.
    Shampoo had a rich lather, rinsed out easily, and left my hair & scalp feeling clean but not stripped.
    Conditioner easily distributed through my hair, it rinsed out easily & completely, didn't leave any residue on my scalp or weigh my hair down.
    My hair was left feeling soft, looking shiny & healthy, and manageable. My scalp felt slightly drier than with the other 2 formulas I tried, but not flaky. 
Overall, I liked all three formulas. 
Prior to trying them I anticipated that one of the two coconut formulas would be my favorite because I love the scent of coconut and because I figured coconut would be more hydrating and better suited for my hair and scalp.  
However, I was surprised by Honey Treasures, which ended up being my favorite and seemed to give my dry Winter scalp and hair the perfect amount of hydration. I'm especially excited that the conditioner is comparable and delivers the same results as my favorite (now discontinued) Aveda Deep Penetrating Revitalizing Conditioner did. I was devastated when Aveda discontinued that, and have been trying to find a comparable conditioner ever since. So I'm super excited that Garnier Whole Blends Honey Treasures seems to be just as great!  

I will definitely continue to use and purchase Garnier Whole Blends - especially Honey Treasures. I'm also curious and want to try the other 3 varieties. 
And I highly recommend the Garnier Whole Blends line to anyone interested in affordable, natural, high-end-quality hair care.

MY EXPERIENCE
I’ve been using this serum as part of my nightly skin care routine for a week and absolutely love it.
The serum is a milky colored, non-greasy, non-oily serum with a light, natural rose scent that I love.
It’s usage instructions say “Apply 1-2 pumps evenly to face and neck each evening after cleansing skin thoroughly. After absorption, follow with moisturizer and eye product of choice.” 
I’ve found that a little goes a long way and 1 pump is enough to get the job done.  So I wash my face with my favorite bar cleanser, then apply 1 pump to my face and neck.  

 It’s easy to apply, feels nice on my skin, isn’t greasy or sticky, absorbs quickly, and leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth and looking hydrated and healthy.

I have oily skin and was happily surprised that it doesn’t add to my oiliness or clog my pores, and I’ve noticed my skin actually is less oily after using it.  (Hooray!)  And it hydrates my skin enough that I don’t necessarily need to apply additional moisturizers afterward. 

I also love it’s packaging. It comes in an amber colored, glass bottle with an easy to use pump dispenser – I like this because I prefer glass for containers for skin care products, and like pumps because it dispenses the right amount of product with no waste, keeps the product air-tight and germ-free.

I'm so excited to have tried this serum! It's become part of my nightly skin care routine, and without a doubt I will be using every drop of this serum in my current bottle. and continue to purchase and use it again and again!

I received and tried it, and also shared some with my cousin Stephanie - both of us are in our mid-40s and trying to age gracefully by caring for our skin with anti-aging skincare products.
While she and I didn't notice dramatic changes in our skin over the past 2 weeks, we did notice it leaves our skin looking and feeling soft, smooth, hydrated, and radiant.  We also like its light, fresh scent, that it's not greasy, feels nice on the skin.
It does take a few more minutes to absorb into skin than the moisturizers we used prior to beginning to try this cream.  We could smell the SPF in it, which isn't a huge negative. However, after applying it to face, neck, & chest - even though it wasn't applied to lips - we felt like we could taste it slightly - blah!  So I'd suggest not applying it too close to the lips.
Overall, we like it, and will finish using it. 
I recommend it to anyone looking for anti-aging cream.

Reynold's Cookie Baking Sheets Parchment Paper - Recipes & Review

As someone who loves to bake and cook, and loves using Parchment Paper to do both (and also to use it for wrapping & crafting), I was excited when I was offered a complimentary package of Reynolds Cookie Baking Sheets Parchment Paper (25 Count) to try and review. 

 As soon as I received it I began using it! 
 

 First, I used it to make homemade noodles, which were easy to make using Reynolds Cookie Baking Sheets Parchment Paper to roll, cut, & dry the noodle dough out on. They turned out great and tasted super yummy in a batch of Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup.  
  

 Second, I used it to make Cheddar Bread, which was much easier to make using Reynolds Cookie Baking Sheets Parchment Paper to cut the dough on and to line the loaf pan I baked it in. It turned out absolutely delicious!  
 
Third, I used it to make my recipe that makes my favorite Cut-out Cookies.  I used it to roll out the dough, cut out the cookie shapes on, line the cookie sheets I baked them on, and wrap the remaining dough in to store in the freezer. It made the entire process easier and the cookies turn out great!  

 I will definitely continue using and buying Reynolds Cookie Baking Sheets Parchment Paper!

Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners ~ Review & Recipes

Reynolds recently came out with a nifty new product called Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners, which are designed to make cooking with slow cookers/crock pots even easier by eliminating clean-up. 

 The simplicity of slow cooking with my crock pot makes it one of the ways I like to cook some of my favorite comfort foods and beverages, as well as keep them warm and bring them to potlucks.  Just put recipe ingredients in the crock pot in the morning, turn it on, set the slow cook setting, and voila - by dinner time a yummy meal is ready. 

 So when I learned of Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners and was offered the opportunity to try them and experience how they make slow cooking even simpler I accepted and was sent a complimentary pack of 4 Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners. 

 As is often the case whenever I consider trying a new product, some questions came to mind - What are Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners? What are they made of? Are they safe? How much do they cost? Where can I buy them?  So I looked online and found the answers prior to receiving them.... 

 WHAT ARE REYNOLDS SLOW COOKER LINERS? 
Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners are clear liners that fit standard sized 3 – 6.5 quart round or oval slow cookers/crock pots, that you place the slow cooker before turning it on and putting in the ingredients.  
WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF? 
The liners are made of a special, high-temperature safe, durable material that's a blend of nylon resins suitable for cooking foods in slow cookers on high, low, or keep warm settings. This material is proven to hold the heartiest of ingredients without breaking or puncturing in the slow cooker.
ARE THEY SAFE?  
According to information on the package and on Reynolds website, these Slow Cooker Liners are BPA-free (bisphenol A) and FDA compliant for cooking. And Reynolds has safely used this blend of nylon resins for over 30 years. 
DO THEY CHANGE THE COOKING TIME? 
No, the cooking time remains the same when using a Slow Cooker Liner. Food cooks thoroughly and evenly.
DO THEY ALTER THE TASTE OF WHAT'S COOKED IN THEM? 
No. I didn't notice any altered taste in the meals I cooked in them.  
HOW MUCH DO THEY COST? 
The lowest price I found is $1.97 for a 4 count pack at Target: 

 As soon as they arrived I read the instructions on how to use the liners: 

Step 1: Open slow cooker liner and place it inside the slow cooker bowl. Fit the liner snugly against the bottom and sides of the bowl; pull top of liner over rim of bowl. 
Step 2: Place ingredients in slow cooker first, then turn on slow cooker. Place lid on slow cooker. Cook according to recipe. 
Step 3: Carefully remove lid to allow steam to escape. Serve meal directly from slow cooker. 
Step 4: Cool slow cooker completely; remove liner and toss.
  
Then started putting them to use by making some yummy crock pot meals and a side dish.  

 First up was my own Simple Homemade Chili, made on my crock pot's high heat setting and turned out great.  
Second was my family's Big Bean Pot recipe, which was made on the low heat setting and turned out yummy.  

And third was the Reynolds Slow Cooker Pot Roast recipe, that's included on the Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners box & in the Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners booklet inside the box as well as on Reynolds website. I made this on the low heat setting according to recipe directions, but I found that the potatoes and carrots weren't done enough by the end of the recipe's cooking time. So I cooked it for 3 more hours.  In the end it turned out well, but when making it again I'll probably cook it on high.  

 Overall, the Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners worked well for me.  They're easy to use, the food cooked in them was yummy, and they made clean-up quick and easy. 
I'll definitely use the 4th liner in the package I received and will consider purchasing & using them again.  
And I recommend them to anyone who enjoys slow cooking.

ARM & HAMMER TRULY RADIANT Clean & Fresh Toothpaste - Review

Arm & Hammer added a new toothpaste to their Truly Radiant oral care line in January 2016 called ARM & HAMMER TRULY RADIANT Clean & Fresh Toothpaste.

I enjoy trying new oral care products, so I when Smiley360 offered me the opportunity to receive a complimentary tube to try and review I happily accepted.

I like how this toothpaste left my teeth feeling clean and my breath fresh, but only used it a few times because I didn't like it's strong spearmint flavor. I didn't have any noticeable whitening, but perhaps with extended use it would whiten more.
Since I don't like the taste of spearmint, I did check to see if this Clean & Fresh variety is available in other flavors, but was disappointed to find that it's only available in spearmint flavor. I wish it was available in peppermint or wintergreen flavors.
  

I decided to look at it's ingredients after noticing warnings on the packaging and saw that it contains Sorbitol and Sodium Saccharin - which I dislike because both are artificial sweeteners that can cause gastro-intestinal upset and other health risks. (Sorbitol is not only an artificial sweetener, it's also used medicinally as a potent, fast-acting stool softener). I'm assuming the warnings on the packaging about ingesting it are related to that. I did check the ingredients in a variety of several other brands of toothpaste and found both Sorbitol and Sodium Saccharin are used in many.

 

So because I didn't like the spearmint flavor and that it contains Sorbitol and Sodium Saccharin, I won't continue using this toothpaste. If it came in wintergreen or peppermint flavors and removed Sorbitol & Sodium Saccharin, I would consider purchasing & using it. I recommend this toothpaste to anyone who is interested in a deep cleaning & whitening toothpaste, doesn't mind it's artificial sweeteners, and likes the taste of spearmint.

I used these in the morning and at night. In the morning, after washing my face, I applied the serum first then applied the daily moisturizer. At night, after washing my face, I applied the serum first then applied the night cream.  
They are white colored cream, have a soft, clean scent, a little goes a long way - a pea sized amount of each is enough for my entire face, apply easily, absorb quickly, and leave my skin looking and feeling hydrated, soft, and smooth.  
My skin tends to be oily, so I was happy to find that all three products are great at hydrating my skin yet are light, non-greasy, and absorb quickly. And I was surprised that my skin felt less oily after using them than when I don't apply serum or moisturizer.  

I will definitely continue using the serum, daily moisturizer, and night cream, and would also like to try the other products in the AVEENO Absolutely Ageless line - Nourishing Cleanser and Eye Cream.  
I recommend them to anyone interested in a high-quality anti-aging skincare.
