When hearing "anti-aging skincare" I used to automatically think "products for those age 40 years old and up" (which at age 43, I fall into).  However I learned that whether you have or haven't yet experienced signs of aging skin - fine lines, wrinkles, sagging, dullness - and no matter your age, it's never too early or too late to begin using anti-aging skincare products.

I used these in the morning and at night. In the morning, after washing my face, I applied the serum first then applied the daily moisturizer. At night, after washing my face, I applied the serum first then applied the night cream.  
They are white colored cream, have a soft, clean scent, a little goes a long way - a pea sized amount of each is enough for my entire face, apply easily, absorb quickly, and leave my skin looking and feeling hydrated, soft, and smooth.  
My skin tends to be oily, so I was happy to find that all three products are great at hydrating my skin yet are light, non-greasy, and absorb quickly. And I was surprised that my skin felt less oily after using them than when I don't apply serum or moisturizer.  

I will definitely continue using the serum, daily moisturizer, and night cream, and would also like to try the other products in the AVEENO Absolutely Ageless line - Nourishing Cleanser and Eye Cream.  
I recommend them to anyone interested in a high-quality anti-aging skincare.

Sahale Snacks Review


I recently discovered a gem of a taste adventure when I was given the opportunity to try a yummy line of snacks I'd never heard of called Sahale (sa-HA-lee) Snacks.

COOL MINT LISTERINE Antiseptic Mouthwash Review

Did you know brushing alone only cleans about 25% of your mouth? 
Luckily, swishing regularly with an antiseptic mouthwash, like COOL MINT LISTERINE, can clean 100% of your mouth! 
Luckily, thanks to Listerine and Crowdtap, I recently was given the opportunity to see what it feels like when my whole mouth is clean by sending me Cool Mint Listerine to try.  

I like Cool Mint Listerine. I use it in the morning and at night after brushing my teeth and occasionally an additional time during the day if I feel I need to freshen my mouth and breath.  I also moisten my toothbrush with it before brushing my teeth, and clean & disinfect my toothbrush with it.  
 
I like that its minty flavor tastes good while swishing and leaves my mouth tasting minty, that its a quick and easy way I can cleanse my mouth and freshen my breath, and that it leaves me feeling confident that my breath is fresh and that i'm benefiting my oral health.
I'll continue using it, and recommend it.

AVEENO SKIN RELIEF GENTLE SCENT LOTION NOURISHING COCONUT
I love this lotion!  It absorbs quickly, isn't greasy - which is a major plus for me because i can't stand greasy feeling lotion, it hydrates my skin well, relieves my dry itchy skin, leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, and it's light scent smells so good.  This has replaced my previous go-to lotion, and I will definitely continue using and will purchase this lotion.

Homemade Caramel Corn

This yummy, buttery caramel corn is great to make year-round, but I especially love and look forward to making it in Autumn.
It's always a hit with my family & friends, as you can see by my nephews smiles.  But be warned, it's addictive and gets gobbled up quickly.

I decided to try Land O' Lakes European Style Super Premium Butter in my most recent batch of caramel corn, and it worked great. It's a NEW kind of butter Land O' Lakes has added to their delicious line of butters. And thanks to BzzAgent and Land O' Lakes, I was recently given the great opportunity to try a complimentary package of it.

I've been using Land O Lakes European Style Super Premium Butter for a month, and the following recipe for Homemade Caramel Corn is one of my favorite ways to use it.

YIELD: 20 CUPS

HOMEMADE CARAMEL CORN

An easy recipe for yummy homemade caramel corn.
PREP: 10 MINS COOK: 40 MINS TOTAL: 50 MINS

INGREDIENTS:

  • 5 quarts / 20 cups Popped Popcorn (made from 1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp unpopped kernels)
  • 2 cups Packed Brown Sugar 
  • 1 cup Butter (I used Land O Lakes European Style Super Premium Salted Butter)
  • 1/2 cups Light Corn Syrup 
  • 1 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract 
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda 
  • 1 tsp Salt 
  • Non-Stick Cooking Oil Spray or Butter

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 250°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet or baking pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper, and grease with additional butter or cooking oil spray.
Spread popped popcorn onto baking sheets, and set aside.
In large saucepan, combine the brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Boil the mixture for 5 minutes, then remove from the heat. Add vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Stir thoroughly. (the mixture will foam up) 
Pour mixture over the popped popcorn and mix well.  
Bake at 250°F for 40 minutes. Stirring every 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool. Once cooled to room temperature , use your hands or a spoon to break up the caramel corn. Serve and Enjoy! 
Can store in an airtight container up to a week.
OPTIONAL ADDITIONS: 
Nuts - You may stir a can of nuts into the popcorn before pouring the caramel over and baking.
Other Additions - Dried Fruit, Chocolate Chips, etc may be added after baking.  

TIPS:  
UNPOPPED POPCORN KERNELS TO POPPED POPCORN CONVERSIONS 
1 oz = 2 Tbsp = 1/8 cup unpopped popcorn kernels = 4 cups = 1 quart popped popcorn 
5 oz = 1/2 cup + 1/8 cup unpopped popcorn kernels = 20 cups = 5 quarts popped popcorn

Cozy Cranberry Cake With Warm Butter Sauce - Inspired By Land O' Lakes European Style Super Premium Butter #EuroStyleButter

This recipe is my adaptation of a yummy recipe given to me 24 years ago by friend Cory. It's great to make year-round, but I especially love and look forward to making it every Autumn.  It's always a hit, and everyone I've served it to ends up asking for the recipe. And it's versatile, so if cranberries aren't your jamm or ya just want to switch it up, it can easily accommodate other fruits of your choice. 

 As seen in the recipe, I used Land O' Lakes European Style Super Premium Butter. It's a NEW kind of butter Land O' Lakes has added to their delicious line of butters. And thanks to BzzAgent and Land O' Lakes, I was recently given the great opportunity to try complimentary package of it.

 I've been using Land O Lakes European Style Super Premium Butter for a month, and the following recipe for Cozy Cranberry Cake With Warm Butter Sauce is one of my favorite ways to use it.

COZY CRANBERRY CAKE WITH WARM BUTTER SAUCE

This yummy cranberry cake drizzled with buttery deliciousness is an easy to make treat that I love & look forward to making every Autumn.

INGREDIENTS
Cake 

Warm Butter Sauce 
INSTRUCTIONS
Cake 
  • Preheat Preheat oven to 350°F. 
  • Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt. 
  • Add milk, butter, and vanilla extract, mix until well combined. 
  • Add cranberries, fold into batter until well distributed. 
  • Grease a 9x13 pan with cooking oil spray or some butter. 
  • Pour batter into pan, spread evenly. 
  • Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. 
  • Remove cake from oven. Let cool at least 10 minutes before slicing.

Warm Butter Sauce
  • Meanwhile, heat butter in a saucepan on medium heat until slightly brown. 
  • Add Half-and-Half and sugar. 
  • Stir until sugar has dissolved and the ingredients are well combined. 
  • Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract. 
  • Serve warm drizzled over slices of cake. 
NOTES
1. Can use 3 cups blueberries instead of 3 cups cranberries. 
2. Can make a "red, white, & blue cake" by using 1 ½ cups cranberries & 1 ½ cups blueberries. 
3. To make a "Warm Caramel Butter Sauce" use 2 cups of brown sugar instead of granulated (white) sugar.
